Train2Succeed
HISTORY
When Sue &
Mark Rickwood set up in the care-recruitment business nearly
10 years ago, they soon realised that there was a big need
for quality training in the care sector. "It's a very
specific sector, and it has very specific demands" said
Sue. "Existing training just wasn't geared up to the
industry and in some cases there were massive gaps and skills-needs.
So we started running a few training courses and they were
such a success that we launched Train2Succeed."
A LOT OF
FUTURE
It's great news
that people are living longer - but with an older population
to care for, the care industry is going to be facing a major
demand - for a growing number of carers.
Training has a
vital place in the well-being of our carers and the service
users they care for. The right training can help avoid stress
and keep everyone safe. It can ensure that carers enjoy their
work and reach their potential so they want to stay in the
industry. It can help people work more efficiently smarter
not harder. And, of course, better care means better quality
of life for the service user.
OUR PERSONAL
FUTURE
A
message from Sue Rickwood: "We all think about the future
in personal terms. What about when I am too old, infirm or
ill to live at home? What about if I need sudden care provision?
What about my family? They can be worrying thoughts. That's
why we set up Train2Succeed we want to help everyone get a
future they can be secure in. We are training staff to be
the best they can be. And it's a re-assuring thought to know
such well trainedpeople are out there looking after us."
